Falwell, Robertson, Hagee and Dobson and all their congregations in the same class, because surely what they have said over the years is equal or worse. Watching McCain and other pols on the right traipse to these churches and suck up to their pastors over their years has not been a very savory spectacle. But it doesn't get much attention somehow. OTOH, the fact that this crowd relies on intolerance and judgment to maintain their stature has been one reason that a true conservative permanent majority never formed. You will never get more than a minority that can swallow their "preaching".
