AMZN - I'll go with the latter
There's no way anyone is paying 400 bucks to read books from some clunky computer screen. I actually did a paper on this in school 20? years ago and concluded there's nothing as good as the comfort of reading and holding a book just as they are.

Amazon.com Inc. CEO Jeff Bezos is thanking customers for their patience regarding the online retailer's lack of Kindle reading devices.

On the Seattle retailer's web front page, Bezos said the company sold out the reading device within 5.5 hours and has been "scrambling to increase our manufacturing capacity ever since." Some customers have waited six weeks to receive their order, he said.

"You have our sincere thanks for your patience," Bezos says.

Since Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) hasn't revealed how many Kindle devices have been sold, some media reports have hinted that Amazon may have production problems or may be trying to create the perception of high demand for the units, which sell for $399.
