I am not too troubled by the polls moving in McCain's favor against either Democratic candidate. Not surprising as the Clinton and Obama camps are attacking each other.

Once the general election starts, McCain will be in the crossfires - and he is an easy target. 100 years in Iraq. McCain said Robertson and Falwell were the devil incarnate, but then embraced them when he needed to convince the Evangelical portion of his base that he was one of them.

Imagine McCain in a debate with either Obama or Clinton, where he will have to think fast on his feet, but will not have Lieberman whispering in his air. In fact, imagine a Democratic ad taking a McCain ad touting his foreign policy experience and expertise and then showing McCain saying Al Quida is coming from Iran, then show Lieberman whispering in McCain's ear AND then show an old piece of Hilda Radner saying "Never Mind".

I still think either Democratic candidate should beat McCain. The question is not primarily electability - rather which one does the country need at this time to put America back on track. I am more convinced than ever that that person is Barack Obama.
