Mary, have you or anybody seen commentary on how in the world the DNC failed to vett Obama with regard to Pastor Wright? I'm still so mad at the Dem party I could spit nails. It seems to me that nobody knew anything. If one of Hillary's surrogates had known, I think it's reasonable to assume they would have gotten those clips onto YouTube, etc. waaaaaaaaaaaay before last week. Like right before Super Tuesday.....or at the latest, right before TX and Ohio? So I don't think even Hillary's campaign knew about the type of preaching Wright was doing.

I think we need to gather additional information about Barack's family. He has lived in many places and does he have relatives that are living in dangerous areas of the globe? The extended family of any American President is certainly going to need protection. Where are these people and what will we need to provide to keep them out of harm's way? I hope we would not be putting ourselves in a position to send troops into any area should his family members become targets. There are so many unanswered questions about Barack. Perhaps the answers will wind down paths that will not create any problems but we need to have the facts that will allow us to make an informed decision. The press doesn't seem to be asking those questions. I listened to his Tues. speech with a gal that has no prior partisan interest in the election. She read an afternoon report about his speech on Yahoo and asked me if they were talking about the same speech we heard that morning. She couldn't believe anyone would be so enamored over his words. I am not totally against Obama, I simply think we need more time to get to know exactly who he is.
