BTW, is this electric car a straw man? Why not stick to the original argument, which was: Emotional and wacky environmentalist thinking have given us $100 gas, excessive greenhouse gasses and mercury poisoned tuna. No, but the claim that the lack of nuke power has given us all those things is wrong. And the "Emotional and wacky environmentalist" have also given us cleaner air and water. Remember acid rain? It's been cut 50% and is expected to be cut another 50% from here. They claim that has lifted life expectency in some areas of the country and saved many billions in health costs. Those damn "Emotional and wacky environmentalist" are to blame! And frankly nuke power is not cheap... coal is a lot cheaper. That's the real reason they have been building coal not nuke plants.
