But courage would have been making that statement sometime in the past, like after the 9/11 comments.

What is the reason from him to say anything about it in the past? He said when he was asked and did not drag all of us for "the blue dress to show up."

Leadership would have been advising his spiritual leader that his comments were damaging another generation and that he was not going to stand for it.

How do you know he didn't. He said he did. You don't believe him?

Judgement would have been to realize that by being passive he was condoning the message.

That maybe your view of judgement, but in my view judgement in this case is you tell him in private, not go up on the pulpit and denounce him, not hold a rally outside after service and denounce but to tell him no when it came to being onn the stage with him when he was making his announcement for being a candidate for President.

Comparing his grandmothers behaviour and judging all white people of a generation is not.

And analyst on TV said today that what he said is very true. He was white and he confessed that such things were said around his dinner table when he was growing up.

Now to you saying you did not understand my question. Your post to which I responded earlier is devoid of reality similar to Rev. wright's view. America has moved on and people like you from the non-black community and Rev. Wright from the Black community are still holding onto the past. We are fast moving towards a racially integrated society unlike Australia and France.

And don't forget, Obama is White also. He has every right to speak the way he did about his grandmother as a White person would.

To reiterate my painfully obvious questions:

Do you believe that US citizens have the right of free speech?

Do you believe that speech expressing unpopular views should be forcefully repressed?

If your answers are YES and NO respectively, then we have no choice than to live with the speech and the options to denounce it and distance ourselves from it.

If your answers were other than YES and NO, then we have a whole new topic to discuss.
