If I found out someone I knew for 20 years was a crazed racist. You're darn right I would end my association with them.

Especially, if that someone was a pastor spilling forth that racism from the church pulpit and I were running for President.

Instead of sanctimoniously trying to give us a sermon about race in America during his speech. Obama should have simple said this.

"I needed the local black leadership in Chicago to help the poor and downtrodden. I consider this my highest calling. Most of the Chicago black leadership who could get things done to help the poor attended that church. I didn't agree with many of the sermons, but continued going because of how much good I was able to do as a local politician, and eventually as Senator. I realize the decision to remain with the church, while running for President was a mistake. The divisive nature of the church is not in keeping with the spirit of inclusiveness I believe our country needs in a President. Michelle and I will find another church. Thank You".
