Also, people who try to "find God" through reason are most susceptible to having their faith undone by science. Those who "find God" through a profound emotional experience find ways, intellectually speaking, to reconcile the tension science can bring or just decide to ignore the whole thing as inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Actually a lot of people whose faith is grounded in an emotional experience(s) do a combination of the two.
