Smithee and I are on IM and he just mentioned he wondered if this would hurt him when he is up for re-election and you know what, it's quite possible. Probably not in Chicago but a good share of that state is white and rural and this preacher is not playing well with that bloc.

I know I'm going to come off as a racist here but I think the majority of blacks today have the attitude that they are owed something. They are entitled. There are quite a lot of blacks that don't think that way but I do feel the majority of them do think this way. They have been thinking and saying among themselves what Rev Wright has been preaching. My father was captured and escaped from two prisoner of war camps, the third and last time he was captured, he was treated inhumanly because if his previous escapes. He always said he had God and the luck of the Irish on his side. He never wrote about his life in those camps. He did make one friend who was a yankee at the last camp he was in. They remained fast friends for over 60 years.
