What I questioned was a massive rollout before the technology is perfected. I am for a gradual rollout, so that problems are solved as they appear.

This is too important to waffle. It has the potential of giving birth to a new economic boom, reduce our dependence on fossils, make clean power. What's not to like. The parts are easy. Even the panels are long life and come with 25years typical warranty.

In my area, the TVA (Tennesee Valley Authority) will set you up with a dual metered system, incoming and outgoing, at their expense. The two paths never cross. Then the TVA will give you a contract by which they will buy power at 2X the cost at which they sell it. So you need to produce half of what you consume to be cost neutral. If you make more than you use, they pay you for it. It's that simple here. All we need are federal and state tax incentives to make the cost of entry lower. Once demand goes up, capacity follows, prices decline, and the cycle escalates.
