One thing that is known is that there was a very promiscuous gay flight attendant who spread the HIV virus all around the country before anyone knew it even existed. He's known as the Typhoid Mary of AIDS. That's my memory, too, Allen. Randy Shilts book, And the Band Played On, was my first exposure to that. amazon.com But that book is fairly old now. It would be interesting to see where that particular narrative stands now.

Allen, were blacks given the syphillis virus as Pastor Wright claimed or was it that already infected blacks were withheld treatment? I've forgotten or maybe even never knew.
