There is no shortgage of metals right now. This is what Kitco's website says:

"IMPORTANT: Due to the volatility of the market, we are experiencing a significant increase in the volume of products that are being sold to Kitco. Although Kitco and HSBC Bank are working hard to stay on top of this, you may experience a delay in your package being processed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and appreciate your patience and understanding."

Notice they mention HSBC Bank. It appears that so many people sold into the recent spike that they've run out of cash and have maxed their credit line.

Kitco appears to be choking on metals.

There is a shortage of cold, hard US dollar cash.

"one can simply take delivery on a futures contract."

No they cannot AND THAT'S THE POINT but I wish lots of them would try all at once LOL

I checked and there is absolutely no silver at Tulving

tulving.com scroll down to silver

and other places. Something very weird is going on and when all is said and done I don't want to be caught without REAL silver.

Since there is no silver to be had I think I will sell some of my personal stash to the highest bidder now. If people don't like my prices they are welcome to go elsewhere. Opening bids start at 30.00 per ounce for 100 ounce bars.
