I had a family member that was married to the daughter of a Holy Roller minister...........Rev Wright's format is much the same. The Pastor's work everyone up into a frenzy then shout out whatever comes to their mind. In the Holy Roller church, the Pastor's words are considered as having their origin in God himself. I have seen people pay tithes before they pay their rent or mortgages...........the power these ministers have over their congregations is amazing. To speak against them is to receive an automatic sentence in hell. The raising of hands in the congregation means that the people think they are receiving his message through the Holy Spirit and that spirit it talking to them. The experiences I had in that Holy Roller church makes me even more suspect about Wright's motives. Those experiences are too numerous to write about here and too personal to share on a public thread.
