I agree it's not a black issue but only the African American population can correct it. The correction has to come from within as all commentary from caucasians is misconstrued as racist. I really wish Barack would have waited a few years to run as I think we have bigger problems right now that need resolving. We'll see how it all develops but I doubt it will be a smooth transition into the "unvictimization" of African Americans. I was once a battered wife and I had to stop playing the victim before I could liberate myself from that role. No one could change that for me........it had to come from within. Blacks will have to realize how they play that role in society and stop blaming America. From comments made by Obama's wife I don't think she has figured that out yet. Should be an interesting few years ahead of us. Pat
