They AREN"T the same thing. But you still must address the evil of the statements, regardless of the good done elsewhere. (imo). I think that is what upsets the RW the most. They can't separate the understanding from the apology. It's a pretty vague line, I suppose. When you say, but look at the GOOD, they hear that the bad doesn't matter.
We have to be clear that yes, the bad DOES matter.

To any person asking to be the most powerful leader on earth, his life is what reveals his character. One may also listen to his words to see if they are in character with his life. I look at all the very intelligent analysis I've seen looking at how his life and his words express his true character. I play this against my own life experience and expectations and find obama extremely flawed beyond any possible doubt. The crisis of his association with wright and his response are a perfect window into obama's character. It is riddled with defects.

My sense and my hope is that it is now impossible for obama to be elected President. I would prefer obama be the spiritual ideal selected by the democrats. That is only a selfish desire as the sight and voice of hillary is ....
