Was he? I mention this only because I was just reading some chatter elsewhere asserting that he was clearly reading off a prompter and that you can see that in the videos. I didn't find it interesting enough to check it. Strictly FWIW.

Speaking of prompters, I had some difficulty watching Obama's speech because he kept looking left and right like he was watching a tennis match. Distracting.
