I am a Roman Catholic, I attended 12 years of Catholic schools and I have belonged to several parishes and even an elected national representative in Catholic organization and I have never heard of Catholic Liberation theology.

Catholics may have expressed opinions on what liberation theology is, but I know of no Catholic theology that teaches the hatred found in wrights sermons.

you may have sources the conflate the use of similar words but there is no common message, meaning or interpretation in Catholic doctrine and the rubbish spewed by wright.

The only time Christ took physical action was when he acted against those who were using his temple as a profit center.

I don't think liberation theology or also black pride are what people object to with Pastor Wright.

Picture your own reaction to finding out that McCain had sat in a church for 20 yrs. with a Pastor Wright in the pulpit. Most of us on this thread would go nuts and think McCain was nuts.

At the very least, we would wonder whether McCain harbored some of the same hatreds expressed by the preaching because we all tend to go where our pre-existing sentiments are validated, don't we?
