I'm not rationalizing what Wright says. You have clearly not paid attention to what I said. I was talking about how Obama could have given money to a church that did good works DESPITE Wright's offensive words. In other words, it does not follow that Obama supported Wright's offensive words- the church does many other things. I realize my position is a nuanced one, but I do try to spell it out.

The man really hasn't done anything that is so terrible, in my view. All he has done is to let his outrage get away from him. The overreaction to his words is just amazing to me. It's as if he had actually called for the violent overthrow of the government or something, or told his parishioners that they should kill white people on sight. - Allen
