That makes sense. I guess the racial gulf is getting wider. I had hoped it would subside. There's so much we could do without it.

Any further changes will have to be done surreptitiously. He knows he's going to pay the price for Wright whatever he does, so he might as well hang on and get the kudos from the black community for not dumping him.

You're right, Obama has locked himself into NOT severing his ties to Wright.

Wright could help Obama immensely if he'd publicly disown his hate speech. Tell the world Obama had discussed their differences over time and Wright had seen the light.

Won't happen though.
