I agree, especially about stakes. If I don't get greedy, I can eke out a living with the short stack games of no limit holdem and pot limit omaha, and the limit games of Stud, Stud Hi-lo, Omaha Hi-lo and Horse. If I decide to increase the stakes to double my income, I'm lucky if I break even. And, oddly enough, the same is true if I lower the stakes substantially. Then I find myself playing too many hands because "it doesn't matter."
