The one thing I wish the FED would learn from this is that pump priming is dangerous. The notion that we should grow our economy today, and deal with the consequences later, whether this is monetary policy via the FED and interest rates, or the federal budget deficit via tax cuts without spending cuts, is flawed. Both do have uses, but they should be used with caution.
