Chernobyl was 100% preventable. The USSR chose the cheap way of implementing nuclear power, and the result was catastrophic, even to those outside of the Iron Curtain.

If you want to point to the problems with coal, look no further than the air pollution problems in China.

They say that clean coal makes it just as expensive as solar and wind, but hey, I'll take that over nothing, especially in places where solar and wind don't make that much sense.
