Very interesting article. It's what a lot of my friends are feeling about the blacks around here. I can only speak for my self but I have witnessed this "you owe me" more and more. Since we got the influx of Katrina refugees, it's gotten worse. The majority of homes that were destroyed in N.O. were government housing. They were lived in by people who didn't work, they only collected government checks. It's been like this for several generations. They only know how to collect money, not earn it so naturally, they think they are owed. I'm sure N.O. isn't the only city in the U.S. that has government housing overflowing with people who only collect and don't work. And, it's not just the people who don't work that have this mind set any more.

You tell generations upon generations that they are entitled to and owed something, it's gonna take time to get the mind set back to working for what you get and not just sticking your hand out and saying "I'm black so you owe me".
