I didn't mean to comment on McCain's suitability. Personally, I am not inclined to favor a president in their 70's given the demands of the job and the potential for quick physical or mental deterioration in that age bracket.

I was reflecting on the huge gulf I have seen between active, fairly healthy seniors and those who just veg out and come apart quickly.

People in their 70's even when they get around pretty well, still don't have the endurance, strength or agility of someone younger.

Hmm, I can relate to that. ;-)
