Watson, re: "I would not suggest any difference in honesty. None are at Rush's level for consistent wisdom. I think hannity takes himself more seriously. I hear humorous conceit, not serious when I've heard Rush. And I hear one side from Rush, common sense and reality. What you call spin, I call the implicit common sense and reality."

Really?

I hear straw men arguments fueled by subtle appeals to the dark side emotions of envy, hatred, distrust, scorn, smugness, ridicule and superiority.

I see a lack of consistency, an unwillingness to admit any error and an eagerness to demonize anyone "on the other side."

I see a black and white approach that insists on attacking the thinker as well as the thought and that rarely, if ever, credits the other side with having any reasonable arguments.

But mostly I see a very cynical man who understands the gaping holes in his rhetorical approach and who knows what damage he's doing in terms of dividing the country but who counts on the willingness of his pliable audience to swallow whatever bullshit he dishes up for the day. And they never seem to disappoint him.

And he takes his money to the bank every week.

I'd say that ultimately his biggest slap to the face is to those who make up the "ditto head" posse. Ed
