Yeah I've stopped paying attention to Cheney also.

There is no doubt that Al Q. has been fomenting trouble between Sunni and Shia and that removing them as an effective force from the equation will improve the situation...

At least temporarily, if it happens. And it might if we keep arming the Sunnis, though the recent trend seems worse.

But the root problem in Iraq hasn't been addressed and there is no way for US soldiers to address it.
