"I was speaking of Al Quaida in Iraq." Well, predicting the death of terrorism in Iraq has had a rocky history. As Cheney's comment shows. The only reason why al Qaeda is in Iraq is because of us. Once we are gone, so will they. Of course, the manner of their leaving will be different. I suspect we will have a lower rate of causalities. Now, it very well may be that if we spend enough money and lives we can get rid of al Qaeda before we leave. Not sure that is worth it, though.
