Katie Couric still gets twice the viewers of O'Reilly...(5.2 million to 2.5 million) so don't get too excited about "time slots". Its cable, after all. And please don't think that Fox represents the interests of the independent voters that McCain needs to win. They are preaching to their "choir". The people who still think President Bush is a conservative. You know the group. They have been "conned", which counters your "libber" taunt.

Hard to believe a conservative can spend money and run deficits like Bush, but, hey....if he calls himself a conservative enough times people will forget big new unfunded drug plans, immigration, 3 trillion dollar budgets, sinking dollar, lack of any fiscal discipline, et al.

My point was that even some Fox insiders (like Wallace) think the establishment line has been a little too 'out there'. When was the last time your saw an anchor walk off the set in disgust?

I like Chris Wallace. He tries harder than most to be a real journalist, vs. being an "entertainer", as you put it. I think he and the guy who walked off finally hit the wall.
