Yeah I always thought my end was divinely shaped...

Anyway

I don't think it's strange that the Fed got involved. If they had let Bear Stearns fall without a safety net the whole market would have crashed, other firms would have gone under, trillions of derivatives would have blown up, the dead rising from the grave, cats and dogs living together, etc.

If the Fed had allowed this to happen they would have been lynched by mobs looking for a scapegoat.

Of course if GM went bankrupt that would be bad too, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the government get involved.

As I've said before, the incredible thing to me is how bad shape the system is in already, before the recession has even really started, when unemployment is still only 5%. Where will it end?

What will first quarter earnings season look like?

I started re-entering SKF today.
