“It was a speech written to mau-mau the New York Times editorial board, the network production people and the media into submission. Beautifully calibrated but deeply dishonest,” said GOP media consultant Rick Wilson. “Not good enough.”

"to mau-mau"?? ROFL..can't believe he said that.

Notice how the big news story yesterday was 4,000 US deaths in Iraq - not the Wright videotapes. Today, the big news story will be the drop in home prices - not the videotapes. GOP is losing the newscycle.

McCain is lying about Iraq. In fact, our withdrawing from occupation may have excellent results. When the Brits withdrew there was no bloodshed. And now we are paying billions and billions of dollars to keep a semi-bloody fragile peace, bribing them all not to fight for political reasons for Bush-McCain's "war" can look like it's improving. And all the warlords they're paying off may be the Saddams and Al Qaida of the future.

Also, in case anyone hadn't noticed Mosul, Afghanistan and even around the Green Zone are having major security problems now.
