"He just thinks we should do away totally with the Fed Income Tax, and turn to one that is much more fair. "

How about a federal clearing system for donations instead? Do away with the federal government except the three functions specifically mentioned in the Constitution and have a bureau of philanthropy that matches up do gooders with slackers?

I don't care what form taxation takes if it is excessive. IMHO 10% with a maximum combined rate (fed + state) of 15% would provide a huge economic boost to the economy and quite possibly grow us out of any impending recession.

IMHO a single tax system is best. A consumption tax hits those who spend and rewards those who save. The economy is floated by spenders but capital provided by savers is required to grow.

IMHO the absolute worst tax idea ever invented is the death tax. Government takes from people most inclined to waste money on frivolities and awards it to government instead.
