Figures are hard to come by, but in Jan. 2007 there were over 2000 air sorties flown. airforcetimes.com Now, it is hard to believe that the pace of air operations has decreased since then. In fact, they likely increased during the surge. I dunno, a sortie flown every 20 minutes seems fairly active to me...
