The difference between the two major parties is that the Republicans have guts. The neocons are evil but they have guts. Have you ever heard a democratic politician who says publicly: "Fxxx You" to another senator? Cheney did that. How rude was Rumsfeld? How about GW Bush? Which party impeach a President just for having an affair with an intern?

That's why the Democrats are labelled soft, and viewed as gutless. So if McCain keeps hammering on the war on terror, people will take his side as having more courage to fight the enemies, and he will easily win.

The true Republicans are still there an we will take the party back. It is now more difficult since the neocons will be back in the WH. If Obama capture the WH, then the neocons will be kicked out from controlling the party. Unfortunately, the Democrats succumb to the bullying of the neocons. That's why I cannot switch to a party with good principles but have gutless leaders.

<< We both looked at Hillary first and were thinking to vote for her in the General Election. However, when the mud started to fly from Hillary, I got turned off and my support for Obama solidified. My friend's support for Hillary solidified at the same time, because she thought Hillary was being treated unfairly by the press.

That is where our relationship took a nosedive. I now make a deliberate attempt to avoid political conversations with her, because I find her to be completely unreasonable in her support of Hillary and I'm sure she finds me to be unreasonable in my support of Obama. >>

Funny, that EXACTLY describes my position. Unfortunately though the lady involved is my wife and I now do my best to avoid any political discussion. She went to a Clinton rally yesterday in Blue Bell, PA and when she came home she was excited and proceeded to tell me all about it. I tried to pretend I was interested.

many women are too embarrassed or too intelligent to say to a man that they are voting for Hillary because she's a woman, period. It would make them look too "knee-jerk".

Their positions look more and more ridiculous.

OTOH what happened with Obama is that fewer than half of Democratic Party blacks supported him at first. They thought he wasn't electable, they feared for his life, they remembered Bill Clinton and were loyal to him.

South Carolina changed that. Iowa and SC changed that.

So blacks, generally, went through the thought process early in 2008. EMILY's List supporters and all of them who write letters to the editor every day and women supporting Hillary steadfastly on gender only are part of that microcosm.

Also, when you contribute money to a side, you get entrenched. EMILY's List is since its founding about fundraising. So it is even more difficult to change sides after you've contributed 2 or 3 or 5 times or to the $2,300 per person limit.

The handwriting has been on the wall since 2/6. Obama's campaign knows how to spend money and stretch money and measure results. HRC winning PA by 20% is out the window. Soon 10% will be gone. I now expect Barack to lose PA by under 5% with increasing prospects of winning, because they know it would be a knockout.

The debate will introduce him across the state and we're still 4 weeks away. A 3% narrowing per week is possible.
