ARE we going to? I would predict not.

SHOULD we have a draft such as you describe? I would say so, except for the fact that ALL draftees would not be able to serve in the military, some would have to serve in some other capacity.

Of course, another possibility I could live with would be to take a Robert Heinlein (sp?) approach and say, one doesn't have to serve one's Country, but unless one does, one doesn't get to vote.
