Elroy, I agree with everything you say, but I can't help but think that if the pastor were Pat Robertson, we'd see an entirely different standard applied.

Probably not. He probably wan't listening when he was reading the June 2007 church newsletter article about how Israel and South Africa had worked on weapons that would only kill Arabs and blacks.

If you don't like Barack Obama, can't you find problems with him, himself, and not with someone he's known for awhile?
He hasn't done much of anything yet.

If the 10 minutes were typical, why hasn't another 10 hours of unpleasant crap from Wright surfaced? Can you answer that?

ABC said they'd found a dozen sermons with objectionable content. I have no idea how many they reviewed.

I still don't know why the church's congregation reacted as they did if the "God damn America" sermon was something totally different than usual.
