And that would be the Shia with their militias and government ties to Iran or the Sunnis with their hopes of another golden age like Saddam Hussein's rule? Or are you saying just about everybody in Iraq would undermine US interests?

That would be Al Qaeda, but the most hard core cases of people from the Baathist milita and the Fedayeen Saddam, and the most radical violent examples of religious extremeists other than Al Qaeda, who also don't accept the government.

Yeah, and that's just about everybody. This is an ancient struggle between the Shia and the Sunni, with the kicker of $100 a barrel oil to the winner. None of them like us... they may be using us for their own purposes but they don't like us. And as soon as one group can gain power they will kick our ass the hell out and probably be our worst enemy. And we will be on the hook for something like $3Trillion in present and future debt.

If you can figure how that's justified then you are a financial genius.
