Thanks, MC. We probably do agree on many of the issues.

You might be right that the Dems have done an about-face and have taken up the mantle of reluctance to get into war for idealistic reasons. I have misgivings, based on the 90s attempts to "nation-build" in Bosnia and Somalia (neither of which even come close, of course, to the scale and stupidity of what is going in Iraq), as well as Vietnam and Korea.

But then, over the last decade the Dems and GOP completely switched places on the issue of free trade (since FDR it was a mainstay of Democratic policy, and there were protectionist planks in the GOP platform as recently as 1992), so I'll keep an open mind on this.

What's dumb is the DEMs falling all over themselves to bail out toxic mortgages. Really, what's up with that? At least McCain isn't for that.

When Hillary and Obama (ill gotten house) lose theirs then we can talk.
