I believe 2010, is when the last of the original five fundamental cdma patents expire. It has always been my understanding that those are the patents that Nokia is now claiming as being paid up. Back in 1992, they negotiated for a 15 year term in place of the standard patent life term of 17 years.

After 2010, were done with the IS-95 patents and the value of the patent pool is determined by HDR/HSPA, MediaFLO and 4G patents.

Here are a list of the five core patents to which I would guess Nokia is claiming a "paid up" status.
