In Ohio, at least, it isn't legal to switch party affiliations for that reason. And yes, it certainly violates the spirit. However, while they give lip service to both the Constitution and Democracy, the neos don't like either one very much.

Well, like with the laws, moral values are for others. They have their vision and that trumps everything else.
