Dale often describes if but not in the detail that show how a few men or even one man is allowed to wield so much power.. and I am not talking about Bush. I managed to avoid working in Washington where these little power centers develop; grand total I don't think I spent more than six months in temporary Washington jobs between assignments. The only anywhere near something important was working in the State Dept Press Office on Bosnia stuff in summer 1995. I know a lot more about how embassies work and interact with the Washington bureaucracy, Congress and the endless stream of visitors they inflict on our missions abroad.
