Who knows what the future really holds..maybe the owner tries to sell via a short sale and is successful to an investor who wants to keep you as his tenant.. Or, you can make the bank a low ball offer to own it and stay.."

Thx...I dont think the investor can sell, he bought in 2005 at the top and probably has no equity. I might make an offer to the bank, but not sure I want to take my money out of gold right now to make such a purchase...probably lots of rentals available.

I read an interesting article that emphasized that so far the real estate market has declined in the absence of stress...when unemployment kicks in, or some other stress in the economy, real estate may enter another strong down phase.
