Z, Steve is addressing the notion that SS is a program where government saves your money and pays it back to you when you retire. A forced 401k plan.

Even Al Gore pointed out that this is a myth.

I can opt out of the govt flood insurance program. It is "social security insurance" isn't it?

Wonder how much money would be saved if people who never paid into social security, stopped receiving benefits?
