Well the Iraq war maybe? Or return of our government to the people from the hands of special interest. Or to get the government out of our private lives. Or to take on GWarming. Or to further the incentive of alternate energy. Or to concentrate our efforts at home instead of being the world's guardian. I mentioned the war. Re special interests, are you not just substituting one set of special interests for another? Re our private lives, are you not just substituting one set of intrusions for another? I'll give you global warming and energy. Re the world's guardian, you are substituting nannying for fighting. I didn't put a "just" in there because there's a significant difference there, but both are being "the world's guardian." Well you can see - there are other reasons. But my question was about joining the Democratic Party rather than just favoring it, which you can do as an independent. What about that?
