I agree that the people were whipped into a frenzy of fear, but when they found out there wasn't much to fear, many of them got angry. I don't see the first decision as courageous, and sticking with the war is just the "I'm backed into a corner" response from the guy who says he can't think of any mistakes he's made. Silly Bush. I could send him a rather long list.

CLINTON TACTICS TURN OFF SOME SUPERDELEGATES

The delegates said there is little the party or its leaders can do to prevent the current back and forth. But some said they were increasingly in touch with Clinton campaign officials to say their support is in jeopardy.

Allen:

If you watch Bush's War on Frontline .. on all week on PBS and it's four hours I just found out... you will see that the decision to go into Iraq was a battle of egos.....also.

One cannot watch this presentation and not come away with
some disgust at the way in which opportunities were missed, especially in Afghanistan.. where Rumsfeld failed for one month to send in planes when the CIA had the Taliban cornered in a pocket in the mts.. because he wanted to be put in charge of the war..and not have the CIA in charge...

It's heart breaking to see the errors in judgement that
ensued after the Mission Accomplished when we were prepared to bring most of the troops home.... Franks,Garner,Bremmer...
all put in there and the latter being the most ineffectual.

There was an opportunity to take out Saydar too and if we had look what that would have saved us today in heartbreak.

Watch the presentation if you want to see the botch ups.
