Interesting, he supports full fiat then, control of money supply by the guvmint? ... we've got that, well not exactly 'control', but we've got the fiat, lol ... anything formulated by humans will be flawed imho, of course that includes metals markets along with everything else ... sounds like a decent read though, history is great eh, fascinating, there's always more angles to events you've seen from other sides

I'm opposed to backing up fiat with gold or silver or anything else, fwiw, as doing so would just place that standard under guvmint control, and ultimately they would take your metals away again, it's inevitable ... much better to leave the current setup progress, powers-that-be get to diddle around with whatever they want, and PMs out here in the wild and free, just willing buyers and willing sellers of some simple old barbarous relics, nothing to see here folks, move on move on

You have me all confused. When you say 'The Republic' are you including the Empire period also?
