My question would be about why she got so little from the responsible party. They're the ones who should pay, not the woman or Walmart. Her settlement should cover medical expenses plus care going forward plus her lost earnings plus something for the family's loss of her. Maybe her lawyer wasn't so good.

I normally (almostalways) defend Walmart's business practices, but if this is true than I will have to reassess my views of Walmart.
