Household net worth is shrinking, but it's still over 150k per capita, or 57+ trillion in the black. I'd also point out that per capita ownership of precious metals is higher here than any where else and a lot of those assets are not reported and not accounted for in that figure.

Well I agree that the govn spends too much, but I disagree that the avg. citizen isn't cognizant of their finances and isn't saving. Investment in retirement accounts, college funds, etc. continues to set records.
