My understanding is that the money is in a trust for her that is 'frozen' until all legal proceedings are exhausted. I don't know the rules for medicare/medicaid, but she is apparently receiving that help now as her husband divorced her to get it. The CNN lawyer following the piece on video that I posted said the government will ultimately pay for her care as Walmart has chosen to 'bow out'...
