Until recently they didn't need one for Canada either.. That may put a bigger damper on US visitors beyond the fact that the 35% discount is gone.. The Black Swan

<Only the upper echelon have ever traveled to Europe> Give me a break -- travel in Europe has been anything but uncommon -- although there is a culturally ignorant class of Americans that would rather put new tiles on their bathroom floors. The best statistical predictor of somebody who voted for Bush is a person who does not hold a passport -- but that is another story.
