LOL
Maybe she can brighten her outlook further with some highlights from this board.
Throw in a few shares of AMZN for good measure

luckily she has you around to cheer her up

What a childish thing to write, what are you, twelve!?

Do you really think I would actually say this to her face or even imply it? She's always, to this day, been in denial about the smoking. At her age, there isn't much she can do to change the outcome, so what would be my point in bringing it up to her?

My efforts when she was a lot younger to get her to quit smoking and to get good health insurance, as fruitless as they were, have been to prevent this outcome. I love my sister. Just because I could see this coming for her does not in any way mean that I wished it on her or that I would engage in a "told you so" conversation or that I take any pleasure in seeing things turn out for her the way they have.

We learn from other people's mistakes. The only way to do that is if people are willing to share their experiences.
